According to Jen-Hsun Huang, Nvidia's chief executive, Android tabs with quad core processors would soon be entering the market. These Android tablets will be launched somewhere around Christmas this year, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
It is believed that these quad core chips will be more powerful and even faster as compared to Tegra 2 chips. Tegra 2 processor is currently found in two-thirds of Android tablets from Motorola, LG and Toshiba.
Though these Android tablets were scheduled to be launched a long time back, most android tabs' meager sales in front of Apple's iPad forced the manufacturers to study and research well before taking the big step.
Jen-Hsung also says that they would also tap some Windows 8 tablets and PCs later next year.
